I co-founded Khaeli, where I lead engineering and still do most of the design myself. I also run engineering and AI research at Orvana Health, co-founded Okulo Studio, and have kept SGJR Studio going since 2019.
Most days I move between Figma and a code editor. The handoff between design and engineering is just me, which keeps both honest.

How I work
Design and engineering in one person
I take products from first sketch to production code, so nothing gets lost in a handoff. Details survive because the person who drew them is the person who builds them. It also keeps scope honest: I will not design something I am not willing to build.
AI only where its output can be checked
I put AI inside a product only where a person can verify what it produces. If the output cannot be checked cheaply, it does not ship. That rule removes a lot of demos that would never survive real use.
Working founder-side
I have been on the founding side of every company I work with, so I treat budgets, timelines and scope as my own. I would rather ship a smaller thing that works than present a roadmap slide. When something is not working, I say so early.
